Liversedge doesn't do 8ft containers - if that's the size you're after, our Batley yard is about ten minutes up the A652 and has them. Everything here is drive-up: park at your own door, load off the tailgate, no lift and no corridor.

• Cleckheaton - about six minutes up the A638. The closest town to us by some way.
• Heckmondwike - five minutes on the A638 through Millbridge, less outside school times.
• Mirfield - ten minutes on the A644 through Roberttown, or via Hightown if the Three Nuns is busy.
• Roberttown and Hartshead - four to six minutes down the hill.
• Batley and Birstall - ten to twelve minutes on the A652, though our Batley yard is likely closer.
• Brighouse and Rastrick - fifteen minutes west, but our Brighouse site will usually beat that.

Coming off the motorway, junction 26 of the M62 at Chain Bar puts you here in about seven minutes. Wormald Street itself is a quiet industrial road, so you're not trying to unload a van on a main road.

Can I get into my Liversedge container at any time?

Yes - the gate opens from your phone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No booking a slot and no meeting anyone. The office is staffed Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm and weekends 10am - 6pm.

Do you have 8ft containers at Liversedge?

No - Liversedge is 20ft containers and a handful of indoor units. For an 8ft container, our Batley yard is about ten minutes away on the A652 and it's the only site of ours that stocks them.

How big is a 20ft container, really?

About 160 sq ft, or roughly a single garage. In practice that's a two to three bedroom house including sofas, beds, a fridge-freezer and a washing machine, packed sensibly. Our 20ft size guide walks through it room by room.

What deposit do you take, and when do I get it back?

A refundable deposit is taken with your first payment - £150 on a 20ft container and £75 on an 8ft. You get it back in full when you leave, provided the unit is emptied and left as you found it. It's a deposit, not a fee, and it isn't rent in advance.

How much notice do I need to give?

Fourteen days, running from the day we receive your notice rather than to the end of the month. Rent runs by the calendar month, so if you're planning to leave it's worth telling us at least 14 days before the month end.

Is my stuff insured?

Your contents remain your responsibility, so you'll want your own cover. Plenty of home insurance policies extend to goods in storage - it's worth ringing your insurer to check rather than assuming either way.
