Can I get into my Batley container 24/7?

Yes. The gate opens from your phone at any hour, seven days a week, including bank holidays. The office is staffed Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm and weekends 10am - 6pm if you'd rather have someone about the first time you come.

Does Batley have 8ft containers and indoor units?

Yes, and it's the only one of our sites that does. Alongside the 20ft drive-up containers there are 8ft containers of about 65 sq ft, and indoor units running up to 2,700 sq ft. Liversedge and Leeds are 20ft containers only.

Can a removal lorry get into the yard?

Greenhill Mills is a working industrial yard with hard standing throughout and room to turn a 7.5 tonne lorry, so removal firms have no trouble. You can reverse right up to the container doors rather than carrying things across a yard.

What deposit do you take, and when do I get it back?

A refundable deposit is taken with your first payment - £150 on a 20ft container and £75 on an 8ft. You get it back in full when you leave, provided the unit is emptied and left as you found it. It's a deposit, not a fee, and it isn't rent in advance.

How much notice do I need to give?

Fourteen days, running from the day we receive your notice rather than to the end of the month. Rent runs by the calendar month, so if you're planning to leave it's worth telling us at least 14 days before the month end.

Is my stuff insured?

Your contents remain your responsibility, so you'll want your own cover. Plenty of home insurance policies extend to goods in storage - it's worth ringing your insurer to check rather than assuming either way.
